Oliver Näslund (b. 1998, Sweden)
My art practice is firmly rooted in my own journey with mental health, what started simply as a means to try and get out of my bed quickly evolved into a transformative journey of healing and restoration. Through the act of making, I found a voice I thought was lost forever, and it allowed me to create something out of the very real darkness and pain.
Now that I'm free from that pain, I see my art practice as the only way forward to allow myself to explore and process the world around me, but now through a lens of wonder and joy.
